This is one of my favorite paintings. It captures so much about the boy and coach bathed in the yellow halo of early evening light. This scene actually happened as it is pictured and was not staged or set up. I emphasized the detail in the fence and did the left side of the image in broad strokes. I titled it appropriately The Batting Lesson. | |
