I was struck by the sweeping landscape near Pikes Peak and the lone house on the rolling plains. The colors to me suggested the phrase from America the Beautiful "For purple mountains majesty among the fruited plain" . I digitally painted this as an oil emphasizing the deep hues of color. | |
