| The mish mash effect is simply a captured dab
placed randomly. Here is how I created my own version of this brush. |
| I started with a Sponge - Loaded 160 and saved it as a
variant. This is generally good practice when you are going to apply a
new captured dab to the variant. The sponge brushes all use a
captured dab type and lay down paint in small dabs based upon the
captured pattern |
 |
| Next I scanned some brush dabs that I had painted on
acrylic canvas |
 |
| To add color I created a layer; filled it with a color
and then combined it using the screen composite method. |
 |
| To create a dab, I selected the entire image and then
performed a captured dab on my copied variant brush. This made this
image then new captured dab. |
 |
| Then I changed the color variability settings so that I
would get more random colors |
 |
| I also changed the size characteristics so that the
brush would dab on a variety of different sizes |
 |
| Lastly I changed the Jitter up or down depending on how
far apart I wanted the dabs to lay down; up for wider; down for closer. |
